PAT Testing In Kettering, Corby, Northamptonshire & Leicestershire From Just £0.54p Per Item
PAT Testing requires a thorough visual inspection of the cable & portable appliance to check for:
- Damage to the cable/Flex
- Damaged to the plug and casing (overheating, burn marks, discolouration)
- An incorrectly wired plug
- An incorrectly rated fuse
We then perform a series of electrical tests with our calibrated PAT tester which includes Dependent upon the class of equipment:
- Earth Bond Testing/Check
- Insulation Resistance/Check
- Cable Polarity Testing/Check
- Earth Leakage Testing/Check
- Load Testing/Check
- Touch Leakage Test
- Item Function Testing
All portable appliances will then be labelled with the results of the test (pass or fail) and the date of the test/next test. Any other action that needs to be taken during testing (replacing plugs/fuses and other small repairs ) will be carried out and re-tested at the time at free of charge. More complex faults or damage are reported to the site manager.
All portable appliances will need to be unplugged for testing.
